This weekend a few GL people joined the ranks of the Wellsville Halloweenie Run. It was the best time. This is the best place I have ever been. From Metro Detroit it is only 260 miles. It has rock, mud, rivers, hill climbs, waterfalls, off camber trails, scenic overlooks, and that was just in the approximately 200 acres of the 3000 acres that we got through.
I had a blast. I have some pictures of the GL folks and you can go to my photo album to see all 80ish of the pictures I have put online from this trip.
First is Trup. He had to be held in place as he went over a large rock.

I think Frank came up with the idea of holding a strap while he went over.

That rock was no match for the muscle men.

Here's Bruce flexing it out. Frank is trying to tell him what to do. Don't listen to him Bruce..... He tried to commit suicide on the waterfall earlier.

Bruce made it most of the day unaided with no lockers but in this case he was strapped out.
Hey baby, how you doin? Bruce.. I am a married lady!!!
Riding shotty with him is Marv's son Brian.

Here's Marv in action.
Wait.. Marv that's not a seat!!!! Actually he's sticking his butt in Stacy's face.

Marv's daughter Stacy. Stacy and Brian took off with Marv's jeep as I was heading out. Did they make it back okay? Or should I say... were they the ones shooting up the flares? Did the Grand Illusion end up like one of the tore up burnt out rigs littering the place?

I don't actually have the best picture of the day. Frank almost flipped over backwards trying to get up this gnarly waterfall rock ledge ....... not once people.. but twice. And me without my camera :P

Here are some pictures of Frank in action.

Frank is showing Trup how he should have approached the rock.

Why is the dirt so close to your head?

The poor guy in this yota kept tipping over and blowing beads. I think someone neglected to mention the roughness of the terrain to him.

Poor guy made it about 200 feet forward... tipped over again and then blew the bead on his tire. He was without a spare but we got him going again.

And this is my favorite scenery picture. Look at that hill climb. Talk about insanity.

This place is awesome... it is 3000 acres of privately owned land. There is no DNR restricting hill climbs or anything else. The wheelers that we went with were responsible and wonderful.
The rest of the pictures are here:

This looks like you had a great time!! Nice pics!

Food for thought: since there has been a lot of talk on the GL board about GL members getting together more often, it would have been nice if this outing had been posted as an informal event......
Some of us that don't frequent MJ might have been interested.

That is my fault. I normally post all of the runs I set up or go on in the Events forum but I was just so excited to go to this one, I forgot my manners.
But Bruce is trying to set up a run for June next year.
Wow.. this place is awesome.

Kerryann,
Don't beat yourself up.

We could not have made this one anyway. Already had plans.

Sometimes runs need to be limited due to circumstances.
If not, we ALL need to get into the habit of inviting others. Just like we see on MJ.
