I am in the process of fitting 38 tsl sx's to the jimmy. The front axle will need to be moved forward about 3 inches as not to hit the firewall. I am thinking about redrilling the leaf pack to accomodate this. Any thoughts on this? Mumblys off road said they have done this for years on superlift CJ7 kits with no problems.

If you think it is worth trying, do you think I should redrill the whole pack, or just the main leaf and use different lower springs. I have a whole bunch of junk springs around to try this with, so any ideas?

I'm only looking to get 1 or 2 more seasons out of the jimmy before it gets parted out for another project I have in mind, so that is the reason for my redneck approach to fitting the tires. And BTW, I'm not unwilling to take a sledgehammer to the firewall for clearance if it's my only option.
