OK so the plan is to drive up Saturday morning, wheel all day Saturday hopefully prerunning some trials for the winter event, spending the night somewhere, maybe a hotel in Westbranch (Super 8 is only about $60 and they have a pool) and then hitting the Quarterly on the way home Sunday.

Who's with me?

Bruce, If I get my Heep fixed I'm game, I'm only 40mins from WB.

Oh Super 8 doesn't have a pool, the Quality Inn in front of Super 8 has the pool, and I believe they around $80 a night.

When I stayed up there at the Quality Inn (which was far from quality) a few years ago I remember that they where expending the Super 8 and either they had a sign or someone told me that they were going to have a pool.

I do belive the Pool is at the Quilty Inn, The Super 8 guest are allowed to use it is all I belive. Because we live so close we don't stay over there :D

We will prob. Wheel with ya too unless there is a bunch of snow, then we may have to work or ride the snowmachines ;)

What has me confused is the map on Super 8's site, it doesn't show it behind the Quality Inn. It shows it downtown on some back street near the city park.

I'd be more than happy to take your Jeep out while your at the party Bobby  .

Dashing through the snow, in a swamper shod Jeep YJ, over the hills I'd go, laughing all the way

Just having some fun with ya. I might go down with the wifes XJ if I get the custom bumpers and winch done by then. I know I won't have my CJ done by then.

BUMP

So Bruce,

Is this still on??

What are the details ... it's a 5 hour drive for me ... so I need a plan.

Thanks ... and ... HAPPY and safe NEW YEAR to all!

brewmenn

I'm still planning on it. I plan on getting up there around 11 saturday morning. we can meet in the motel parking lot.

I have to get a few things fixed on my jeep this week but i don't see a problem with getting it ready to go.

DDS4X4
January 4th, 2005, 05:37 AM
So, are we talking about the parking lot between the 2 motels at Exit 212 (behind the Quality Inn and in front of the Super 8 Inn)???

And we'll be running some trails my basically stock Grand Cherokee WJ will handle??

If your plan changes, when will be the latest you can post the schedule change to this board?? I'll probably leave Ohio early Saturday morning (so I can check it Friday night) ... but if this gets canceled ... I may wait until Sunday morning to leave for the Quarterly meeting at Midland.

Thanks Bruce!

OK everyone, so who's in and who's not??

Yes, the parking lot between the hotels. I'll be there unless my Jeep decides it can't make it. Worst case I drive up slowly. I can do 55-60 MPH but beyond that I've got some bad vibes.

As for running trails that a skock GC can run I guess thats part of the point of pre-running... to see what the conditions are like. A lot depend on the weather and how much snow they get this week. But I'll run whatever the people that show up can handle.

Sounds like your groups going to get some snow to play in today. Be careful out there. With the rain we had a week ago it could be a little hairy on the hills.

Have Fun
