I am talking to someone from Mio right now on MJ and they say Bull Gap has been closed.
What happened, why, and what can we do to get it back open?
How does this happen with no one the wiser? Shouldn't they notify people?

Kerry I doubt its closed. I would take a drive up there this weekend, to check it out, but I don't have time with the Auto Show and Quarterly. I'll contact my friend from Mio and see if he has heard anything.

I am talking to a guy from Mio right now. He said someone held an illegal mud bog out there and left a ton of trash, so the DNR closed it.
He said that it is closed and they are keeping people out.

There is no mud anywhere near Bull Gap, so thats weird. I don't believe it would be the DNRs decision to close it either.....it would be the USFS.

Mike is correct, there is no mud close to Bull Gap and Bull Gap is on US Forest service land so the DNR has no juristiction on National Forest Land.

If you have found out any more specifics keep us aprised.

He didn't say DNR but he was talking about how it's patrolled. I inserted DNR. I am ignorant.. It's okay.

The only spot that I can think of as having mud is way off to the left of the hill, going off to that road or snowmobile trail. I still don?t think the ground is soft enough to have a mud bog anywhere. Anyway I would like to hear some positive information on the situation. I love going up there when I am in the area. It?s fun. Here is an old pic. Jan/99
