Well, we are all back after a great weekend with no rain!
I, for one, had a great time and both of the groups I led were tons of fun.
A little carnage, lots of comraderie and no one fell in the beaver pond or mud holes.
The bonfire on Saturday night was a good time and had a few laughs.
Already looking forward to next year!

Where were you Friday night?

I was at my campsite helping Paul Maulchuck (spelling ?) repair his broken spring center pin on his XJ till about dark. I also spent some time at the Thunder bay campsite while Zak was repairing his broken axle shaft. (both happened on my run Friday)
I also spent time at the fires of Lucas, Pat and the Trolls.
I guess I just missed you.

You are right Jim we all had a great time and besides the middle of the night rain on Fri. and a little cold weather on Sat. the weather was great all week.
Everyone seemed to have a good time, I know I did and I would do it again.

Ha LOL Ha!!!
I was snoring soundly in my motorhome listening to the pitter patter of rain.
In my dreams I was thinking of how the rain would stop by morning, the dust would be down, the mud holes more challenging and the rocks a little more slippery.
It was one of my "very few" wild a## dreams that actually came true!!!!
Sorry to hear that your reaction to the rain was not quite as happy as mine!

It was amazing though that even after Fri. nights rain that we still had dusty roads by Sat. afternoon.
We were up there from Sept 25 untill Oct 3rd and it was sunny or partly sunny the whole time and except for Sat. Oct 2 it was in the low 70's.
I would like to thank everyone who came up and wheeled with us, I had 2 days of great folks to help me enjoy Canada's diverse terrain.
Look for a story and pics in the winter issue of the Boondocker.
And for the new owners of the campground to buy a power washer for us to use was terrific! :D
Cant wait for next year!

Glad to hear everyone had fun. I'll be anxious to see pictures. I'll be at the Quarterly on Sunday, so if you can bring CD's with pictures for the GL year in pictures project I'm working on it would be a HUGE help.
Thanks,
Paul

I would like to thank everyone who helped to make this event happen again this year.
Also a big thank you to all those who attended.
I'm sorry I didn't make it in time to wheel on Friday.
Thank you to White Rhino for pointing me to a great trail to lead on Sat.
I had a great group to lead, (mostly MSG members).
A great big THANK YOU to T-Way for tail gunning for me on Sat.

Mike, you were a great companion on Friday and the first half of Saturday.
For anyone who wasn't on my run.......... it was interesting that right before I rolled a bead and had to winch out of a nasty mud hole, my WB (aka Mike, aka Roadhouse66) bailed on me and rode with Dice.
Then to top it off, while we changed my tire and Kris (from Thunder Bay) rolled his bead on the same rock as me, and we had to change his tire, my new found friend (Mike) was sleeping in Bobby's jeep at the back of the pack!!!
Right after the work was all done, he comes up with the typical "what, what, what...... you guys need any help?" line. Hmmmm......
So, for anyone that Roadhouse66 wants to ride with in the future....... beware of the dissapearing WB.
And Steve, I think T-way had it planned all along for you to do a little "extra winching".

Wilma......thank you for the stew!
And I showed up just in time to help Kris put his 37" tire back on. But Kristy "The D.N.J." would only give me two lug nuts at a time.....no trust. She was afraid I would drop them in the mud, and she might have to clean them. :D

Don't thank me, thank the rock that killed Gordon's Jeepster. Without that, we wouldn't have traveled at our own fast pace over the trail!

Hey, just something just dawned on me............what happened to the moto we lived by in Canada. What happens in Canada stays in Canada. Here we are telling stories about it. Shame on us. :D
