I said I&#39;m OFFICIALLY a certain age. Technically I stopped counting four years ago.

Birthdays are overrated past 25 or so. When you are young, 13 is big (a teenager), 16 you can drive, 18 vote, 21 beer, 25 car insurance drops. Then what?

26: last year of eligibility for selctive service?

30: getting up after a Saturday afternoon tackle football game w/old friends starts to be painful

35: metabolism grinds to a halt before your appetite, resulting in a distinct middle bulge and learning all about Lipitor

40: a birthday that means significantly more to your friends and family than it does to you

50: eligible for AARP membership

55: Walmart will now accept your application as a greeter

60: time to start regular colon screening and prostate exams if you haven&#39;t already
