Lake Station MI

This is a small area of state land with hills, sand, and curves that take you off camber. Great place to spend a day in the woods, or take newbies out. Not far is the Mud Lake DNR rustic camp ground. We usually pull the jeeps up to the edge of the lake, and have lunch and make any repairs.

Lake Station is off US 10 west of farwell. The trail head is located 1/2 north of US 10 off Garfield. There is a Marathon Gas Station in Lake Station on US 10, it has everything needed for a staging area. Free and Quick air as well.

Thanks for the report Frank. I like trail reports for local (Michigan) trails. It gives us guys that can't afford trips out west a few more choices when wheeling in our own neck of the woods.
