Planning on relocating my rear brake lights, was going to do bumper mount, but now I'm goin to do roll bar mounted ones, kinda high. I just was wondering if there is such a thing of brake lights being too high?? They would be roughtly 5' off the ground.

Never heard of that before....just headlight height.

Look how high the tail lights are on the full size Chevy vans.

Gotta be higher than your roll bar. But finding the legal height would be nice because you will become a cop magnet.

Attached is the FMVSS 108 lighting requirement by National Highway Safety Transportation Association from the actual Federal code. Looks like you've got allot of lattitude.

Sweet, thanks!

I'll be just fine then. A little Honda behind me might think an aircraft is coming in to land or something, but I'm not him!

if you do put them higher, it might be worth printing a copy of that having it in your glovebox with your registration.
