A group of us are heading up to Canada once again to scout trails and prepare for GG 06. Anyone is welcome. Please realize this is a bit of a "work weekend" since we are looking at some new trails and verifying the old ones are still there. So, in addition to great country and fire side fun, there is bound to be some brushing and chain saw work.

I will be going up Thursday night, wheeling Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Leaving "late" Sunday night.

Anyone want to join us?

I will also head up Thursday sometime. I may or may not stay until Tuesday, last trip before the kid comes!

COOL! It will be good to have someone else along to assist with the "stock run scouting."

I have to work that weekend.

Now that you're back up off the floor. Yes I have to do the log home open house that weekend. I may try to play hookey on Friday, though.

Dave,
Are you coming to GG? No registration from ANY TROLL! Can I rely on any Trolls to be trail leaders?

I plan on making it up. The only issue is what I am taking. I haven't touched the jimmy since last GG and it has some issues. The Samurai is always ready to go, but I still want a cage. The prerun I'll be bringing the Sami, but I would like to bring my kid on GG, and I would rather have the enclosed (and heated) cab of the Jimmy for that run. I have a trip planned almost every weekend in september, so wrenching time is limited. Now we just need to get Lucas to come to GG. His wife isn't due until 3 weeks after the run! So what's his friggin problem :D

Keith, are you planning on being a trail ender or anything for GG? Which.......... by the way.............. where is your registration?

And, I have to side with Rose on this one. Lucas should stay home.

I definitely won't be there for Gitchee Gumee!!! If Rose says no to Labor Day, I won't be there either!

But as it stands, Jeep is running.....I'm going to start driving it to work this week to make sure it stays running! Put new cheapy shocks on the back and replaced the IAC motor. I bought a new chainsaw last month for some trail cleaning. My little 14" one took a crap and my dads is in storage and doesn't have a case.

I'll post this for Keith! It looks like he isn't coming over Labor Day. So, I'll be going up and it looks like I will have an empty seat, a couple people I invited have things going on.....like work and dumb things like that!

Leaving Thursday as early as I can leave work, need reservations thou!

Picked up a nice new inflatable mattress for the Suburban....sure beats tenting it!

I wired up my tail lights so you can see them now, no more hand signals. But I'm taking bets as to which side I'll tear off first.

I need this trip! I think I have ulcers from work stress.....

Lucas is probably right, I may be out for the pre-run. Nothing serious, but my bus adventure kinda sucked up all my spare change, as well as the fact that I have something planned every weekend in september.

I also may have some really important stuff going on at work this weekend. However if everything falls together, I still may ride shotgun with Lucas, and sleep on the roof of his suburban. But I really don't see that happening, so I'll probably see you all at GG.

Plans probably will be to do some minor repairs to the jimmy and take it as is since I will be bringing my son on this trip. It will be his first, so I'll probably not take the really hard trails.

Well, I made it back. Good trip after a depressing first day scouting. Ended up finding some good stuff on Saturday. Sunday I cut out early, had something grinding from the trans/t-case area, by the time I got back to camp it was a loud gear winding noise, hope its just the T-case cuz I plan on replacing that this winter anyways!

What, you've never seen Canada before? :monkeydance:

Trails have mud, rocks, hills and logs. Tight and brushy. They are still there. A couple new ones that will add to the options to pick from. A hint of color.
