View Full Version : Fall Color Tour

WILMA
September 21st, 2004, 11:40 PM
For owners of all types of 4-wheel drive vehicles: Pickups, Tahoes, Durangos, Explorers, Sport-Tracs, Cherokees, Grand Cherokees, Suburbans – anything with 4 tires and the ability to drive both axles!!

We will be taking a leisurely drive along dirt roads, forest roads, and 2-tracks in Northern Michigan to enjoy the beautiful fall colors!
If you join us, you will periodically need to use 4-wheel drive. If you are not accustomed to using your 4-wheel drive system in the dirt, why not learn how from some experienced four-wheelers? We will not be doing any obstacle-type trails, so the chance of scratching or damaging your beloved SUV will be next to nada! Our color tour will look nothing like those Toyota truck commercials you’re used to seeing on TV! Note: A “special” run will be available for those who want to get dirty!!!
Come join the Trolls for a day of fun and fall scenery, unmatched anywhere in Michigan!
We will meet in the morning on October 16th and head to the woods! Pack a lunch and bring a camera! Note: There will be absolutely no alcohol allowed on this trip! If alcohol comes with you, you don’t come with us!!
The Trolls are a group of family four-wheelers based in Northern Michigan. We love to load up the kids and hit the trails! We enjoy introducing others to the responsible use and enjoyment of their 4-wheel drive vehicles. Come join us and experience something new on October 16th!
There is no charge for this event, but we would appreciate it if you would let us know that you are going to attend! To let us know you are attending, either mail the form below to the address listed, phone Tina Brasseur at (231) 238-0964, or e-mail Tina at brasseur@localnet.com. We look forward to seeing you on October 16th!

I'll be there. I'll e-mail the form later. We may bring both Jeeps as my wife likes to drive on outings like this, or maybe I'll just ride shot-gun for once and snap pictures all day.

T-way will be the one wearing the most outrageous camo with the shiniest dome. He is definetly hard to miss....

JoAnn and I are planning on being there. My parents will also be attending in their Liberty again.

Tina, my dad was surprised and taken aback that Liberty's were not included in the list of 4x4 vehicles

Not sure if we will be staying at the Sturgeon River campground in Wolverine or at our friends place in Waters. But we will be there. I just hope we hit the colors on the right weekend this year. But, this is Michigan and you never know. Will be a nice drive in the country either way.

Will send the forms as soon as I get a minute at home.

Tina,
Looks like boss threw a monkey wrench into this weekend. Have to attend mtg in his place out of town. (he went golfing) Won't get back until Fri evening....Won't be able to drive up until Sat morning, would get there after lunch. 3-4 hours of riding.....go to bed and drive home next day.....Not much relaxing.......That coupled with planting over 74 8-10 foot blue spruces and douglas fir pine trees in my yard (700 lb balls).
I'm a bit whooped. I know it looks like I dodging you guys but really....I am planning on getting up there soon! Have fun and stay warm!

I too, am going to miss out on a FUN day with the Trolls, viewing beautiful MI. I was hoping to make the Color Tour since I didn't make GG. Read your GG posts and sounds like a GREAT trail ride ... one of these years.

I had an offer to ride shotgun this weekend with a guy from Louisville, KY. We are taking his lifted and locked Wrangler, while we tackle some of the toughest trails southern IN has to offer. I have never experience anything other than mild and intermediate trails with our Grand, so I'm looking forward to a new thrill/scenery that my stock Grand will never experience.

Have a good ride ... be safe ... have fun ... stay warm!

Yeah Doug....what Tina said!! None of us would turn down a chance like that, so be sure and enjoy yourself!!!

And by the way...you're right....you DO need to get up to Gitchee Gumee!! And if you're concerned about taking your Grand on the Canadian trails, well, there's always some of us with open passenger seats!! You would be more than welcome to ride shotty with us for the weekend!!
