i need to ask the help of some fellow wheelers, pat kinne's dodge ram is having serious issues, we think its a bad injector but thats beside the point , the truck is pretty much undriveable.

is there anyone who would be able/willing to pull pats 5th wheel? they are stranded on the michigan/ohio border.

if you can help out please call 989-832-7538 as they are on the side of the freeway right now

thanks!

Well, while on our way back from Tellico, Ironman started blowing oil in northern Ohio this morning. The Cummins deisel is supposed to hold 3 gallons (12 quarts) of oil. We drained 6 gallons (24 quarts).

Hmmmmm... must be getting fuel in the block. After the oil change on the side of I-75, we ran it up to the Michigan state line & checked it again. Full of fuel again. Hmmmm......... must be pretty bad.

That's when we called 95Geo for the distress signal. In the mean time, after checking with insurance and Dodge road side service, the decision was made to take the whole rig to the nearest dealer in Toledo. While on the way to the dealership, the oil pressure started to drop. Not much life left there.

Currently, the rig is at the dealer and the Jeep and important stuff is loaded up on another trailer and headed for home.

Just got a call from Ironwoman wanting me to post thanks to those that called to offer assistance. Thanks everybody!

Bummer, I have no pickup so I am of no help, but..............

FYI, if any of yo uremember Bouncy or Furyon from the old MJ he had the same problem with is truck, filling the crankcase with fuel. He took it to the dealership and it was a bad injector (Cummins, I think a 2005). So it is not an uncommon problem but he caught it before any bearing problems.

We are now home, without the white whale and the truck but the Jeep is safe and sound in the garage.

I would like to send a big thanks to Jim Kitson and Jim Mazzola as well as Bryce :bigemo_harabe_net-145:

They helped us immensely while we sweated it out along I75.

Kelly "Clarkston Cracker" and John Murphy both called while on our way home to offer a tow, it's really nice to know that there is still some GOOD people in this world! Thanks to both!

The important thing is you are home safe, albeit with an inconvenience.
