I Herculined the inside and underneath of my CJ about 5 years ago and it has held up great! As long as the surface is prepped right, you shouldn't have any problems with it. I would not recommend it on the outside though... it's not very UV friendly, it will turn dull and fade a little from the sun.

It would look even better with a black Ultimate Air tank strapped to the cage (hint hint)!!

Just kidding. Even though I do plan on having one of your setups in it eventually, that isn't going to come until I'm road worthy. Unless one mysteriously shows up at my doorstep one day along with a back window sized sticker that would go on my daily driver for the duration of my ownership of said daily driver.... :thumb-up:

Hey, a dude can dream, can't he???

As for the herculiner, it looks great so far. I put it on extra thick in the rear section, as I plan on having my spare parts strapped down back there for a while. I'm not planning on a back seat, so it should be alright. I've had it in the bed of my truck for over a year now and it's held up ok. So long as you don't drag a Dana 44 or Ford 9" across it, it should hold up pretty good. I have torn chunks out of it but for what it's worth, it took EVERYTHING with it, and it was from dragging a fully dressed AMC304 the length of my truck bed. It has faded, but I like the subdued black over the shiny stuff anyways.
