Hey, I just had to tell someone, so I might as well tell the coolest group of guys and girls I know.
I just got off the phone with my interviewer from Friday afternoon and she offered me the position I wanted. As of tomorrow, I am back at Ford Motor, as a contracted employee of TAC Automotive Group. I will be (again) doing diagnostic tool service and testing, as I did when I originally started there 4 years ago under a different company.
For those who didn't know, I was laid off two weeks ago by Mahle Powertrain Testing Systems Inc. after 4 years of service, because they had run out of work. I went from a tool/ software tester, up through a vehicle calibration engineer, and back to prototype driver for their superchargers division where I was subsequently "laid to rest". They offered me a significant severance package and even went so far as to pull a few strings with this new employer.
Now for the cheesy part (for some). Those that know me in person know that this whole situation didn't phase or stress me in the least bit. I know that God has a plan for everyone and that in the long run, things always come out right. I've been "building Karma" in my life for the longest time, and thankfully it paid off in the form of staying in touch with the right people.
Also, I would like to personally thank Calvynandhobbs (Roger) for your help. I know it didn't work out with your setup, but I still greatly appreciate you stepping up and at least giving me the opportunity. Also, a big thanks to the rest of my brothers-in-arms in SoFO for helping me keep my chin up.
THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!!!
