Roadhouse was over the other day (actually several days in a row) and he also noticed they were backwards.

I looked at it at the meeting in Silver Lake and I never noticed it, I think you almost need to know that the Iroks are directional before you notice.

Today I am tying the cage into the frame and working on some rocker protection.

fab work looks good...

i have a few suggestions for future cages to help strengthen them. i dont meen these as negative comments, more like constructive criticism.

the rear diagonal spreaders at the top, make them touch in the center so they transfer the loads directly to the other tubes

the two paralell tubes over the D/P heads; make them so the top is now an X, that will help with a hit to the A pillar tube so it doesnt bend like a paralellogram

add a diagonal from the bottom of the B pillar to where the rear spreader bar is

you can also add in an X in the B hoop if theres no rear seat passengers

like i said, dont take these the wrong way.... im just giving some feedback :thumb-up:

Your probobly right about being stronger with X in the B-pillar.I needed to keep access to the back seat for the kids.
put the first coat of paint on today. lookin good Pat!

Oh Yea, The IROCS are on right direction now, Probly wont be able to back up as well though :rolf:

Why is it that your Jeep looks like it has a ton more room than most???

Hey.a trick I just learned for sanding a cage to prep for paint.

Instead of going through a ton of sand paper, use dry-wall sanding screens, bought at any hardware store.
