My trip to the e-board meeting yesterday was intererrupted by an unplanned trip to the emergency room to meet my wife and son. Fortunately only Jonathon had to spend the night, and just for observation until a radiologist could clear his neck/head CT. They got hit hard enough that the rear seat was pushed forward a few inches by the tailgate. They are both pretty sore, but nothing that won't heal with time. The extra cargo area of Deb's LJ proved it's value again.

Our prayers are with you and yours. We went North yesterday (to my mother-in-laws) and I thought about your family as we traveled North and returned last night.

Good to hear the LJ kept them safe and sound. How did the driver of the other vehicle fare?

The guy who hit them busted his lip (and his big shiny truck). Somewhere along the way, there was a white car involved, but there was no damage to the front of Deb's or the rear of the truck. All 3 were at the towing lot yesterday when we went to go get Deb's stuff. A passenger in the car was also hurt, but the officer I spoke to indicated it was not serious. It was bad when Deb called me, worse when I saw Jonathon on the backboard coming out of the ambulance, but seeing the Jeep really spooked me. Let me try posting pictures again:

Thanks for your thoughts and concerns everyone, I appreciate it.

Are you sure the guy's busted lip wasn't from Deb smacking him around for being an idiot?? :)
Tell her and the little guy we're all sending them good wishes! :bigemo_harabe_net-145:

It's funny - she lost her Jeep not a loved one, but she is going through some very normal greiving steps - shock on Saturday, couldn't quit crying Sunday, wanting to hunt the SOB down yesterday. And by the way, if anyone on the board lives in Genesee County and drives a big red F-250 with a newly modified front clip, please avoid my wife for the next few days.

Wow. They are lucky!
They're not going to fix that Jeep are they?
I was rear-ended on I-75 when I first got my TJ (1250 miles on it) while stopped. The S-10 crumpled and I drove away. He bent my frame, smashed my tailgate, chipped my spare-tire and bent my trailer hitch.
I would have loved to smack him around since he started cussing me out. I had to remind who hit who.
