Hi all,
Thought I would just say hi. I recently got back into a 4x4 after a few years off. Well, not really. I had a Subaru WRX(the beauty of AWD) for a few years and had a blast with it. I recently purchased an '04 Toyota Tacoma DoubleCab with the TRD package. Its my 3rd Toy. I had an '89 XtraCab that I had on Sno*blind a dew years back. Then a '91 4Runner that I never really wheeled.
I am hoping to do a little light wheeling with the Taco. It is my daily driver and only has 12k on it.
Plus I knew I would find Roadhouse on here!!

Like Doug and You, I wheel my DD. Looking forward to seeing you on the trails. Can you make Siver Lake Dunes (April 8) for a pre-quarterly Meeting romp in the dunes?

Thanks all.

Not married yet! I have a couple months of freedom still.

I made a short trip down Sterling Truck Trail Sat. We were about 1/2 mile or so from Wildwood Rd. and it was washed out. Didn't even think of crossing it by myself (truck that is). I also saw that it was washed out down by Grimm Hill on Deer Rd.(aka Hershey Highway). I ran into a couple locals that were at Centerfire and STT. They said Centerfire was bad too.

Can anyone tell me if you can still get back to the B Pits/3 Lakes there?

Wow I haven't been in the intro section lately...and looky what I find. Welcome Brett. Brett is an old GL member from a club we used to be in. I could tell you some good stories about his old Toy extended cab that left us stranded in a mud hole one night....but a Jeep came to save us. :P

Brett...you can't get back to the b-pits anymore, its all gated off. I believe its at the last big water crossing they put a gate up. That side trail that went around it via the pipeline is all bermed off also.

I'm getting some new treads on the Suburban next week, and getting the vibration problem fixed....I'll call ya after that for a ride up there if you and the misses want to head out.

Hey do you know how to get ahold of Joe T.? I got in a fender bender in the Suburban and need a rear 1/4 panel fixed.

I'm going to go look for pics of Bretts old Toys from our way back wheelin days....10 years ago.

There was a 1990 4Runner in the BCT for $850. I was half-tempted to go check it out. I can't have more shtuff sitting around that I will have to move though.

I am gonna go through some of my old pics and scan them in today seeing I am too sick to do anything else.

That last pic I remember!! It proved why those tires were called Muddiggers when they should have been called Sanddiggers because that all they did to sand was dig!!

I got a couple of the 4Runner around here. I can tell that a pic from when Tim had it. I drove it right over to Discount for its bling wheels.

I saw my old white 'Yota last Summer going through town.

Thanks Mike.

Talking with the guy I work with the other day. I remembered Mike and I's trip back to camp one night up at Bull Gap. Mike got a flat so we were going to have to hoof it and it was a ways. Along came some guys in a Blazer with the roof off and no headlights. They offered us a ride. Mike's Maglite was the only candlepower we had for the trip! As soon as we got out we could here them throttling down the fireroad still with no lights.

I remember that night....at least we had the maglight. I also remember a night you all left me at the hill, but my truck was at camp. I had to walk that hole distance with no light. I used my the light on my watch to help find the way........man that was dark night and the three steps forward one step back didn't help. :rolf:
