I was reading the post about the 2015 member appreciation run and realized I never chimed in to say why we were not going to be able to attend. Jonathon and I are registered for Crawling 4 The Cure, a fundraiser held by the MN Chapter of the National MS Society at the Iron Range OHV Park in Gilbert, MN. My mother was diagnosed with MS in 1986, but she and we have been very fortunate in that her illness has not destroyed her like it has so many others. Being able to combine a wheeling event, a father-son vacation, and a fundraiser was too good of an opportunity to pass up.

We have created our own fundraising page on the MS website:

http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/DoItYourselfFundraising/MNMDIYEvents?px=12106849&pg=personal&fr_id=24632

and the MN chapter of the MS society has more of the details of the event posted at:

http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/DoItYourselfFundraising/MNMDIYEvents?pg=team&fr_id=24632&team_id=430381

If you can afford to donate to the MS Society and help our cause, we would be grateful. If we already sent you an e-mail or Facebook thingy, sorry for the second intrusion.

Awesome!!! Have a great trip!! And we'll miss you!!

For those of you who don't know, my sweetie (wife!) Annie was diagnosed with MS in 1997 and she's been confined to a wheel chair for the last 8 or 9 years. SO even though that puts just a bit of a crimp on my wheelin' trips (and hunting trips!) I have a SUPER support group that surrounds the both of us and I DO get a chance to get out 'every once in a while'!!!

I'll be sure to hit your link Paul and make an appropriate donation!
