whats a new cable worth??? my friend has a hs9500i and his cable has a split in one strand. but hes very poor and probably not interested unless it super cheap. not wanting too offend u i wont make an offer. but what will a new cable cost him??

I&#39;d have say that around 9,000lbs the 5/16th" cable would be around it&#39;s limit. 5/16th" is pretty big considering the use. I&#39;m no expert though, just a good guess.

This is the winch I have from Warn: PN 69502 9.5xp winch - special design to fit the H2 bumper. 12V, 100&#39; wire rope, hawse fairlead.
