Yeah I know its a tad early... must be the October-like temps, but any word on dates this year? The Trolls don't have an active website that I can find... Just wondering.

Maybe I can actually get some dirt in the treads this year...

Probably my favorite run of the year. It was last year anyway. Sitting there in the Jeep with the leaves falling in on me. The smell of the freshly crunched leaves on the trail. The colors and the cool weather. Cider and doughnuts too.

Pam we are coming to the Dam Site Inn on Sunday for the meeting right? I need to get it posted a couple places after you confirm

By the way, nominations for President and Treasurer are still open. Dave plans to run again as Treasurer, still looking for nominations for President. Must be present to win....:)

I am planning on attending the run with the family. My dad is going to come along too in his Jeep. It was a fun time last year.

I'll let the Trolls address the specifics, but plan for a Saturday morning departure from the Wolverine/Indian River area. Pam mentioned a stop at her restaurant on the outskits of Pelston for a potty break at mid day, if that gives you a better idea of where we are headed.

Couple of dumb questions...can anyone participate in this or is it a club only thing ? What time would this start ? Can your standard stock 4wd go on this no problem ? Sounds like fun, but would be coming from 6 1/2 hours away.

Are there places to park truck/trailers while on the run? If possible closer to where we end then start.

Thanks,
Dave

There's only a handful of people in the club. They'll let almost anyone ride along

Yes, but you might get scratches or body damage as with any trail ride

As far as trailers/trucks parking. We will be starting and ending at the same place. There is plenty of room for trailer parking here.

Will a CB or two way radio be needed ?

Greenway
September 30th, 2012, 07:56 PM
Needed, no. Fun, yes.

We pass on a lot of useful and interesting information across the CB. We also get stupid sometimes. It is better if you do have one.

If you don't, just follow the person in front of you and keep an eye on the person behind you and all will go smoothly. It also helps to let them both know you don't have a radio.

Is that so they know it's safe to talk about the transceiver-impaired?

Thats one reason. Another is so the other people can report trail stoppages to group leaders.
