Yeah, someone else pointed that out to me today. I fired my proof reader. It will be fixed tomorrow, if you want to print one that says Sixth. ;)

Thanks to the guys at Sheffield Auto Value. Not only as sponsors to the rocks, but they hooked me up with enough parts to limp home from St Helen yesterday :thumb:

Went up for a pre run of our SnoFari route yesterday with Danimal and made it about 150' into the trails before finding that Al Serra didn't put my heat shield back on the H1 the right way when they warrantied my starter. On the first hill it cut one rear brake line and almost went through the other :(

The good part is I noticed when fixing it that they also put all of my under carriage protcection bolts in backwards, with the stud part of the bolt down. Glad to notice that before bending them all over on rocks :banghead:

Well that's a bummer. We tried to get a hold of you out there with no luck. Rob said he passed you in town (Red 4 door rubicon). The SoFficial shop is within walking distance to Sheffield's. Glad you got it all taken care of. We made a quick trip out of it and did some marathon pre running.

Is there a possibility of getting confirmation of registrations received? I only ask because it would suck if somebody sent registration in on the 1st, only to have the USPS lose the envelope (seems to happen quite a bit). And for the sender to assume it was received. While there are still spots left then they could resubmit registration. I'm tired and haven't finished a cup of coffee yet, does that make any sense?

Hey, the Post Office (me) doesn't do that!!! Well, sometimes that happens when you're sorting letters on a machine that runs 40,000 letters an hour. It'll be worse when they shut down the processing plant in Lansing and move it all to Grand Rapids.

*sorry, just my rant since I might have my job moved to GR and it makes no sense to move mail processing away from the center of the state (as far as transportation ) and away from the Capitol.

Those are just drivers , there is usually 2 - 3 people in each ride !! Im just wondering if the 60 drivers includes the trail guides as well ?? Because I dont see allot of the trail guides from last year , Ironman , Indy , etc , or are they automaticly included ?? Cant wait to see the new trails you guys found !!

Well I know your a huge part of it , along with Leah , and all the sponsers and what not !! Their just a big part of a huge team to make it a success and make it fun for us in the trails !! Last year Indy was out all day Friday and then he led the night run and we were supposed to be back by 11 and it was 2am and he could barley stay awake but we were having so much fun he just kept going , he did allot of pre-runs and knew of trails that were untouched and we had a blast , we got back at 2:30am and he was back up ready to go for the morning run , and we had a blast all day with him and Ironman (Dale) !! Great bunch or guys !!

My work schedule has unfortunately changed for January long after registration has closed. If you have an open seat in your vehicle, with heat, doors and a roof, don't ever get stuck so I won't have to actually get out and hook up your strap or cable, like classic rock and a little soft jazz mixed in, and will not have your cats or small children under the age of 5 travelling with you for the weekend, I would be happy to call myself your strap wench for the day.

Is a working lighter considered heat? Visqueen doors good enough? I have 4 radios in the Jeep, none play music. Is the cat stuck in the drag link considered a rider? :lmao:

Todays pre run report after a very light dusting of snow;
Blown bead via a stump- Me
Sliced sidewall-Tab & WR
Two broken antennas- Me

After today we can pretty much be assured that a couple of the runs will NOT be vehicle friendly at all!!!

Yes, we decided that our 2 groups can pretty much spend the entire day in the MSA without feeling over crowded. In addition, we made ironed out our "bragging rights" comp although we may add a twist to it depending on the rigs in our groups. Either way, we expect some friendly rivalry. I have also come to the conclusion there are some other great possibilities within the MSA boundaries and there is more exploring to do beyond what has been done. We hit the road at 9:00 am and returned at 2:30. 3 vehicles and we only drove past the rocks to confirm they are still there. So a full day is in order with 10 rigs, a foot of snow and a stop at the rocks. With that, I agree with Mike. anyone on our runs who doesn't want some Michigan pinstriping needs to go elsewhere.

I still am not sure if I will run the MSA on Friday and may plan to leave the good stuff for Saturday. Has there been any effort to determine how many people are coming up for a full day Friday?

How were the sidewalls sliced? On the rocks?
It was an old split from a prior run that just decided to blow out that day. Depending on the run there are a few narrow places where roots, stumps or rocks stick out that could pose a damage hazard.

Hopefully I'll get into mine today after replacing the wife's ride wheel bearing. Need to throw a bag of Equal in the RR tire, re-pack the wheel bearings, put rock rings back on, refill the CO2 bottles and a few other things. At this point I've been thinking it'd be easier just sawzalling the fenders/quarters on the old plow Scrambler, putting the 41.5's on it and using that for the ride.
