Figures, the year I win a free two person pass for DOA @ SnoFari we can't go. And last year we missed and lost all our of event & reservation $ because I was asked to be a pallbarer 3 days before the event.

Have fun everyone

Thanks to someone thinking of me, I was able to get Registered. But it just keeps getting better, due to my wifes schedule she is unable to attend the HUMMER Event on the Island and has made plans to be at DOA (I believe DOA 2005 was her first trip to the Island and she fell in love with the Island Thanks to the MSG Folks, Thank You).

Dam Site Inn sounds like a great idea...I don't have details worked out yet as to when we are northern bound.

I just registered today. I can't wait to get back to Drummond Island! It's been way too long since my last trip there. I'm also booked at the Bear Track Inn, you can't beat $45/night and the best breakfast on the island right outside you door.

Now all I need to do is whipe up my rock sliders, wire the new CB, and track down the cause of my death wobble. Other then that I'm packed and ready to go!

Just a little teaser for this years DOA shirt, just in case you want to add to your order. ;-) :thumb:

The back of the shirt is an all new design with our sponsors names as well. I think the only people disappointed with this years shirts are going to be the ones that didn't order! (disclaimer: I didn't design them, one of our other members did, I wish I could take credit for it!) :lmao:

Just registered. Looking forward to it. I don't think I'll be camping. So, I'm looking for some lodging that's reasonable. I am pretty sure I'll be by myself.

Unlimited Offroad Centers (an Associate member of GLFWDA) will be giving away one Warn winch at the Drummond Offroad Adventure 2011!!! You must be a registered attendee of DOA 2011 and be present at the event to eligible. Due to this late breaking news, MSG4x4Club is extending the online registration until Sunday July 31st. Reminder, there is a limited amount of space available due to DNR requirements so take advantage of this extension and register TODAY!

Yes you read that correctly! A Warn winch give-away by Unlimited Offroad of Fenton. They are reaching out once again to the off-road community and giving back! Thanks Unlimited! www.uorc4x4.com

OK you regular DI visitors, question ... Can I buy a 2011 ORV sticker on the island or should I stop and purchase one before I cross the Big Mac?

shawn
August 14th, 2011, 09:08 PM
I am pretty sure you won't need one. No scramble area, so if you have a SOS plated vehicles you shouldn't need one.

DDS4X4
August 14th, 2011, 09:45 PM
I thought in the agreement with the DNR, the DI ORV routes required the ORV sticker, but I am from OH and I usually get one each year, just to be covered. So I am still looking for the anwer to IF I can buy one on the island??

Greenway
August 14th, 2011, 09:50 PM
Yes, we most definitely need one. The markers that the DNR gave us to mark the trails were wrong. Because of that, ("ORV tag unless SOS licensed vehicle') they were not enforcing the law until the route has been remarked. I am not willing to bet that the route has not been remarked in sections with the correct triangles. Hey, it's $16.25. Buy a sticker. Not worth the worry.

Yes the ORV Permit is available at the Hardware Store at the four corners.

And yes, several signs have been added that clearly indicate that an ORV Permit is required beyond this point at several locations within the Route/Trail system.

No last minute antenna pickups this year Doug?

DDS4X4
August 15th, 2011, 10:04 PM
No, and I still carry 1 spare of each ... but don't jinx me.
Switching to the whip with No Load, while running overgrown trails did the trick!

Then it might also be directly related to my reduced trail rides schedule in 2011, seems work has got in the way(you know like 6 months straight of tax season). I am REALLY ready to go North for a get-away!

I know this is kinda old news, but are these the only pics? Plus, what was the skinny on the weekend? I'm sure everybody had fun as always. I want to make it up there again, but that will have to wait till next year. I always have heard the DOA event is a fun weekend.
