DANIEL BOONE JEEP JAMBOREE USA - TRAIL CLOSURE!
The United States Forest Service has recently made the decision to close all off-road trails in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Even though many of the trails on the Daniel Boone Jeep Jamboree are on private land we gain access to them through Forest Service property. This decision by the Forest Service has left us with no other option than to cancel the 16th Daniel Boone Jeep Jamboree for this year. The Forest Service has indicated that this land closure is only temporary with hopes to have the trails reopened by sometime next season.
The good news is that Jeep Jamboree USA offers several other Jeep Jamboree events in close proximity to the Daniel Boone Jeep Jamboree, two of which are in the state of Kentucky. The Land between the Lakes Jeep Jamboree (May 5 - 7, 2006) is located in Marshall County, KY, while the Gateway to the Cumberlands Jeep Jamboree (Oct. 6 - 8, 2006) makes camp in Williamsburg, KY. Just over the Kentucky border is French Lick, Indiana; host to the 17th French Lick Jeep Jamboree (Oct. 13 - 15, 2006).
With all of these other options we hope to see your face at a Jeep Jamboree USA event this year. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you or your family. If you have any additional questions regarding this land closure, please contact our office at (530) 333-4777.
